Finance coordinator (hybrid or remote)

We're looking for a finance coordinator for 16-24h per week.

Part-time · Sweav HQ or remote · €4.500 - 5.250 (40h/w)

Who we are & what we do

Sweav is a digital platform and community that connects top freelance strategy and M&A professionals with projects and clients.

We have a dual purpose. First, we empower top-tier professionals to (re)gain independence in their lives—professionally, by working where they can have the most impact, and personally, by becoming happier and more productive members of society. Second, we lower the barrier for clients to hire these talented professionals through a more flexible and cost-effective model.

Sweav was founded in 2021 by former strategy consultants Thijmen Kaster and Joeri Schouten. It has since grown into a community of more than 300 high-end independent strategy and M&A professionals, all trained at leading firms. We've completed over 300 projects for private equity, mid-market, and corporate clients.

Our team currently consists of fourteen people. The culture is collaborative, energetic, and ambitious. Our goal for 2025 is to reach €15 million in revenue.

What you will do: 

You’ll take ownership of all finance processes at Sweav. You’ll report directly to one of the founders (who also acts as CFO). Your responsibilities include:

  • Onboarding new clients (e.g. invoice details, PO numbers)

  • Managing incoming invoices and creating outgoing ones

  • Managing accounts receivable ('debiteurenbeheer')

  • Creating payment batches

  • Ensuring all invoices and receipts are submitted on time to our external bookkeeping firm

  • Caculate and pay freelancer referral fees

  • Acting as the main point of contact for our bookkeeping firm

  • Answering questions from clients and freelancers about invoices and payments

What we're looking for:

Skills & experience

  • You have experience working in the finance department of a small business, or at a bookkeeping/accounting firm

  • You are confident working with Exact Online and Excel

  • You’re comfortable picking up new tools like Payt and Zenvoices

  • You are a native Dutch speaker and experienced in professional communication in English

Personality traits

  • Accurate – You double-check your work to be sure it's right

  • Structured – You keep track of things by making lists and overviews

  • Proactive – You take ownership and feel responsible for outcomes

  • Flexible – You're fine working flexibly throughout the week, with peaks at the beginning and end of the month
