At the same time, we make it accessible for clients to work with these A-players. With a more flexible, human, pragmatic and cost-effective model than the traditional professional services firms.
Since launching in 2022, we’ve grown to a community of 350 freelancers and over 400 clients across private equity, corporates and scale-ups. Sweav is currently with a team of 18.
About the job
Sweav has been growing like crazy, with 100% YoY since its inception four years ago. In 2026, we expect to grow with another 60-70%. However, this growth won't last forever as the addressable market of our niche will reach its limit at some point.
To continue Sweav's growth pace in the future, we want to start expanding our addressable market. That's where you come in.
As Chief of Staff, you work directly with the founders to drive Sweav’s growth beyond its current business. Think geographic expansion (UK, Nordics), new categories (Legal, Finance) and new propositions.
It’s an exciting role – but not an easy one. You’ll be building new markets from the ground up, experimenting with different go-to-market approaches, testing product-market fit and channel-market fit, and figuring out what works (and what doesn’t) before scaling.
That means reaching out to new clients and freelancers who don’t know us yet, running experiments, iterating on our proposition, and creating traction without big budgets or existing brand awareness.

What you’ll be doing
Drive international and category expansion
Identify product-market fit and scalable routes-to-market for new countries and categories
Design and run growth experiments (channels, partnerships, positioning, pricing)
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new markets
Localize the Sweav proposition, positioning, and technology
Work closely with sales, marketing, and tech to iterate and scale what works
Become the main point of contact for these new markets
Build new propositions
Help design and refine new Sweav offerings
Test new propositions in the market and validate product-market fit
Lead the implementation and rollout of new propositions once validated
What we're looking for
The ideal Chief of Staff has the analytical brainpower of a strategy consultant, feels comfortable with (lots of) ambiguity and embraces the start-up grind of getting things done.
Must-haves
3-4+ years’ experience in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g. McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Roland Berger, Strategy&, OC&C, or comparable firms)
Strong appetite for dirty hands
Strong commercial instinct
Highly self-starting and grinding mentality
Comfortable operating with a lot of freedom and ambiguity
Willingness to travel occasionally (Belgium/UK/Nordics)
Fluent in English
Nice-to-haves
Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
An entrepreneurial background (side projects, own company, unconventional experiences)
Previous exposure to growth or business development
Experience working internationally

Practicalities
Full-time position
Based in Amsterdam
Maximum 1 day per week working from home
Possibility to work remote for maximum 5 weeks per year

Compensation
Competitive salary: approximately €7.500 – €9.000 gross per month (incl. holiday allowance), depending on experience
After one year: equity package (Stock Appreciation Rights, SARs) with substantial upside potential down the line
